what is derma-planing
Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment that involves gently scraping the surface of your skin with a surgical scalpel to remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz. How often to treat
Dermaplaning treatments are usually performed every three or four weeks. It is best to let your skin complete its natural rejuvenation cycle before repeating the process.
The procedure will generally remove between two and three weeks of dead skin from the facial area.
What to expect

Your doctor will thoroughly cleanse your face to prepare it for treatment.
During dermaplaning
Your doctor will use a surgical scalpel to gently scrape the surface of your face, removing dead skin cells and peach fuzz.
After treatment
You may experience mild redness. This is completely normal and will go away within 24 hours of treatment. You may notice that your skin looks brighter immediately after you’re finished with a dermaplaning treatment, but it often takes a few days to appreciate the full results.
After a treatment, you’ll need to be extra careful about sun exposure. Sun damage can reverse the effects of dermaplaning, or create pigment blotches on your freshly uncovered skin cells. In the weeks after a dermaplaning, don’t leave the house without wearing sunscreen on your face.
